This is where the idea of GYDO was conceptualized. The founder Ryan Williams was sitting with his son James, his partner Jessica and nephew, Dayne from South Africa. It was a typical December day in sunny California but it was his nephews birthday. They were Face timing family in South Africa and Dayne's parents could not buy him a drink at IBC. At IBC there is a "beer board" where locals buy each other a beer but you have to be here to make the purchase.
This started the creative juices and Ryan was left with a burning desire of why someone has not done this yet?

IBC brew their own beer in Carpinteria and distribute up and down the Southern California coastline.
From their signature Island Blonde to their King Tide Double IPA, there is a beer for every taste palette. Carpinteria is home of the world one and only Avocado Festival every October. Island Brewing Company brew their very own special Avocado Honey Ale to celebrate this festival.
IBC have about 12 rotating taps at any one time. Other local favorites include the Hopliner IPA, which is an American IPA powered by twin engines of El Dorado and Azacca hops. This delicious IPA has a smooth finish with a sharp tropical taste.
IBC Collection
Experience a small family run, award winning microbrewery right next to the Amtrack rail road tracks. Includes seasonal releases as well as barrel aged offerings. The tasting room is easily accessible with a stunning view of the Pacific and Channel Islands National Park.
All beers are made with a distinctive handcraft and only the best ingredients are used.
